DC Servo Position Controller Model CL-11 is designed to demonstrate the principle of D.C. Servo system based on a D.C. Motor coupled to a slave potentiometer and a 0 to 300 degree Master potentiometer. The slave potentiometer follows the master potentiometer because of error detector stage based on an Op-Amp circuit. Output of Error Detector is given to motor driving circuit. Error becomes zero when both the potentiometers are at same degree. The kit has following hardware on board. 1) A D.C. Motor coupled with potentiometer known as Feedback potentiometer. 2) A potentiometer with dialed scale known as Master or Reference Potentiometer. 3) Complete Op-Amp based circuit with power driver for Motor provided on the front panel. Following experiments can be performed : I) To observe zero error when both the potentiometers are stationery. ii) Observation of Feedback signal from the motor potentiometer. iii) To find the reason for hunting and solve the hunting problem. iv) To analyse the complete circuit of D.C. servo system.
